A COLLECTION INSPIRED BY THE UNIQUE BEAUTY OF FUNGI
Fungi and molds form a unique kingdom, distinct from plants and animals, yet their unusual beauty fascinates us. The Fungus glass vase collection captures the shapes, colors, and textures of fungi, turning their organic elegance into striking design pieces. Whether decorative or functional, these vases make mycelium a bold visual element in any space. 

Polypores, unlike boletus mushrooms, have hard surfaces, unconventional shapes, and grow as wood decomposers. Inspired by them, the Polypore series introduces glass bowls shaped freely using traditional handmade techniques. Free from moulds, each bowl takes on a unique, organic form, echoing the mysterious world of tree mushrooms. 

Each vase and bowl is a one-of-a-kind piece.

STUDiO DAViD VALNeR

David Valner, founder of Valner Studio, has a background in glass design, sculpture, fine arts, and interactive media. Growing up in a family of glassmakers, he was immersed in traditional craftsmanship from an early age. His work honors glass as a free, fluid material, and he draws inspiration from nature to create unique pieces where imperfections are celebrated as a testament to artisan craftsmanship over mass production. photo: Tereza Valner



Valner Glass Production, founded by Aleš Valner in 2004 in Přibyslav, Czech Republic, specializes in traditional handmade glass. With a skilled team, it supplies artists and designers, including David Valner, the founder’s son and a leading voice in modern glassmaking.
